Behind the Shot – Image Critiques #24

The Behind the Shot Image Critique Shows are hosted by Steve Brazill and Don Komarechka, and this episode of the Behind the Shot image critique show is a special event, in partnership with SmugMug and Flickr.

We use the Behind the Shot Flickr group for our image selections, because Flickr display images with such high quality. When Alastair Jolly, the Global Marketing Manager & Head of Ambassador Relations for SmugMug and Flickr, contacted me about doing a joint episode of the critiques I jumped at the chance. Alastair has been on the normal Behind the Show before for an episode titled “Lighting the Scottish Landscape”, he’s an amazing photographer, and I have been on his SmugMug Live! show before. The opportunity to bring my critique show to the larger SmugMug and Flickr audience is exciting. Thanks to Alastair for running this show on the SmugMug Live! YouTube channel, and you can still find it there (link below).

One important note is that this show is not being streamed to the normal Behind the Shot YouTube channel. We are streaming this one over on their SmugMug Live! YouTube channel, and I’d highly suggest subscribing there too. Alastair has some of the best photographers working today on his show, and I am not afraid to say I have even found guests for Behind the Shot because I saw them on his show first – like the episode “Self Portrait Artistry” with Elizabeth Gadd.

Images for these shows are chosen from those submitted to the Behind the Shot Flickr group with the Flickr tag “btscritique”.

If you’d like your images to be eligible for review, sign up for a Flickr accout (free or pro) and submit your image to the Behind the Shot Group after tagging with with btscritique.
